| Snufflers
The correct name for this member of the pig family is Blue Horned Double Snuffler, but most simply call it a Snuffler. Formerly, it was found all over Chaladon, but today it is quite rare, having been hunted almost to extinction in all areas where root crops are grown. Riptornikans chased them away from their beloved parsnip patches, Garbonians protected their turnip fields, and Bloogans became hysterical over raids on their waving fields of leek. Apparently, the beast then developed a taste for Celadonian broccoli and that was the "last straw." The federal government established bounties and Snufflers were hunted down. The fact that slow-roasted Snuffler is pretty tasty didn't help matters.
Snufflers are totally terrified by all creepy, crawly insects such as ants, cockroachs, and weevils. Apparently, nature gave them two noses so they can "snuffle away" insects as they root in the dirt for tasty roots, sometimes blowing small "bug clouds" like a modern leaf blower.
