Strange Customs and Games Chewing Worms
The reader will recall the delightful little animal called the Worm Smacker

In modern-day Chaladon a young fellow who is attracted to a pretty girl asks her if she would consider chewing a worm with him. Of course these are only candy worms sold in stores. If she is agreeable to becoming better acquainted, she would shyly say, "yes, I wouldn't mind chewing a worm with you." She might also politely say, "sorry, I'm already chewing worms with someone else." Or if she is completely against the idea, she migh just say, "get away from me worm breath." The Game of Ickers
Kids aged between five and ten play an exciting game called Ickers. It is similiar to "hide and seek." One kid catches a big Warty Green Hop Toad and the rest go hide. The object of the game is for the "toad kid" to sneak up close enough to someone hiding and then squeeze the toad so its tongue shoots out, giving the other kid a big slimy smack on the face. Then, he yells, "Toad Power" and runs away like the wind before the other kid hits him with a rock. Return to Home Page |
