Barnyard Animals

Cows

It is interesting to note thatin Chaladon,
Cows don't "moo."

Instead, they "Slew," and sometimes quite loudly.

Pigs

There are two types of domestic pigs;
Dancing Pigs and Prancing Pigs.
At the left is one of each.

The Dancer is dancing and the Prancer is prancing.
Can't tell the difference?

Look closely. The Dancer has red hooves.
Both are delicious

Goats

Goat meat is much more popular than beef.
Farmers raise both tender Broilers and fat Roasters.

Barkety Bark Dogs

Farmers use very smart
Barkety Barks
to herd their sheep
and protect them from wolves

Fruit Eating Gloaters

Gloaters, as they are more commonly called, are the most popular of all because of the sweeter taste of the meat. Perhaps, this is because they mostly eat fruit. Gloater hooves can grasp things, which allows them to climb trees and pick the fruit. They especially like trees where they can hang themselves by their horns within easy reach of the apples and pears. Nothing is quite so amusing as seeing a tree full of Gloaters; tummies full to bursting, just hanging in the branches like so many Christmas tree ornaments with gloating looks on their faces as if they were saying "what a clever Gloat am I."

Tippy Toe Goats

Tippy Toes were used as pack animals many years ago, carrying loads over steep mountain trails before the road system was developed that allowed freight to be carried in wagons pulled by Boodles. At many places, such trails were almost figments of some crazy person's imagination, being little more than narrow cracks in the sides of nearly sheer, rock cliffs.

Tippy Toe hooves are long and narrow, and more importantly, the goat can walk on the tips of these hooves just like a ballet dancer hops about on her toes. Only a Tippy Toe could travel along the sheer rock walls.

Even though the goats hated it, people COULD ride on them so long as they kept both hands on the horns, steering the Tippy Toe like a bicycle. Otherwise, the crabby goat would twist his head around and bite the rider's leg.

Chinigins

Traditional two-legged chickens still exist, but the four-legged Chinigens are much more popular, one good reason being four drumsticks.

They also make wonderful pets

Farmers also raise both
Plucks and Lurkeys.
